Memphis men's soccer makes history, earns NCAA tournament berth for 2nd straight season
Memphis men's soccer has made history.
The Tigers are heading to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season, the first time in program history they have gone to the tournament in back-to-back seasons.

The Tigers (10-5-2) will host SIU Edwardsville (16-0-3) in the first round on Thursday (7 p.m., ESPN+). The winner of that game will meet No. 3 North Carolina (10-3-6) in the second round on Sunday.
Memphis beat South Florida with a dramatic late-game comeback to advance to the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference tournament before losing at SMU.

SIUE won the Ohio Valley Conference championship, earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars have the longest active winning streak in the country and have not lost a match all season.
Last season, Memphis lost at Saint Louis in the first round.
