HOUSTON — The Memphis Grizzlies looked like a team well on its way for a second straight win after leading by as many as 12 points before halftime on Friday night against the Houston Rockets.

All of that momentum switched in the third quarter. The Grizzlies gave up a 17-0 run and the offense stalled as the Rockets took over the game.

Memphis fell 128-108 in its first loss of the season.

Rebounding and offensive flow were two of the biggest differences. After shooting 53.3% in the first half, the Grizzlies only scored 18 points in the third quarter and shot 5-for-24.

Houston's 27-21 halftime rebounding advantage ballooned to 47-30 after three quarters. Memphis struggled to keep Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith off the glass. Both Rockets players secured double-doubles.

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 24 points.
