Memphis Grizzlies lose Marcus Smart, Desmond Bane to injuries, can't catch up to Brooklyn Nets
More injuries came the Memphis Grizzlies' way and put the team in a tough position on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
With Marcus Smart and Desmond Bane leaving the game early, the Grizzlies' depth was tested more than it has been through the first four games of the season. Jaren Jackson Jr. starred with 30 points, but he didn't have enough help.
The Grizzlies dropped their second consecutive home game in a 119-106 loss to the Nets.
Ja Morant finished with 14 points and 11 assists, but also five turnovers.
Dennis Schroder shredded the Grizzlies with 33 points and six made 3-pointers. Former Grizzlies wing Ziaire Williams finished with 17 points and four steals.
The Grizzlies will return to action on Thursday night with a home matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.
