Memphis football will play Missouri on Saturday in St. Louis, but who exactly is the home team?

Missouri lists the game as "neutral" site on its official schedule, but the St. Louis Sports Commission posted a photo on the X platform on Thursday that showed the field design for the game includes the Missouri logo at midfield and "Mizzou" in each end zone with black and gold colors.

Memphis' schedule has the matchup listed as an away game. The game will take place on Saturday (6:30 p.m., ESPNU) at The Dome at America's Center.

Memphis (3-0) and Missouri (3-0) are playing in St. Louis because of a renegotiated contract.

The two schools signed a home-and-home agreement in 2010. The first game took place in Columbia in 2018, when Missouri crushed Memphis 65-33. The return game in Memphis was supposed to take place at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in 2023. But Missouri expressed interest in buying out of the agreement, and the schools went back to the negotiating table.

The buyout would have been $250,000. Under the renegotiated agreement, Memphis will be paid up to $1 million.

Athletic director Laird Veatch said last year that in addition to the $250,000 cancellation fee, Memphis will receive an additional $500,000 guarantee from Missouri as well as up to $250,000 in lower level tickets for which Memphis will keep the revenue.

On Monday, Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield encouraged Memphis fans to make the trip up to St. Louis for the game and took a dig at Missouri.

"They refused to play us at our place," he said, "so we're going to have to go make it a home-field advantage in St. Louis."
