Meet The Oklahoman's 2024 Class 6A-5A All-Tournament boys and girls basketball teams

Here’s a look at The Oklahoman’s selections for the 2024 Class 6A and 5A All-Tournament teams from the state basketball tournaments last week.

Class 6A boys

MVP: Jalen Montonati, Owasso

The five-star sophomore went off in the fourth quarter and overtime of the state championship game to lead Owasso to its first boys basketball basketball title. Montonati finished with 34 points and five rebounds while defeating two-time defending champion Edmond North to secure the gold ball.

Class 6A girls

MVP: Da’Nae Jefferson, Putnam West

Jefferson made the tying basket, drew a foul and sank the go-ahead free throw with 14.6 seconds left in Putnam West’s 41-40 state championship victory against Edmond North. She led the Patriots with 12 points as they dethroned the two-time defending state champion, and she had a team-high 19 points in the semifinals against Owasso.

MVP: Carlsheon Young, Midwest City

The Oklahoma State commit was stellar in the state title matchup against Tulsa Booker T. Washington. Young scored 22 points to lead Torey Noel and the Bombers to their first state title since 2007. Young managed to step up on both ends of the floor when Midwest City needed it most throughout the weekend.

MVP: Pauline Black-Harmon, El Reno

Black-Harmon recorded 10 points and six rebounds as El Reno defeated defending champion Sapulpa 48-41 for its first girls basketball state title. She scored in double figures in every state tournament game while playing solid defense in the paint.
