AUGUSTA, Ga. — Not even Augusta National can hold back the skies. Rains pelted the Masters on Saturday, flooding greens and soaking fairways. At 3:15 p.m. ET, the club officially suspended play for the day, setting up a long Sunday of golf.

Round 3 will resume at 8:30 a.m. ET and can be viewed in its entirety on CBS. The final round is expected to begin at 12:30 p.m., with television coverage beginning at 2 p.m.

Some notes from an abbreviated Round 3:

  • The round began at 11:06 a.m. following the conclusion of the weather-delayed Round 2. In order to maximize the number of holes played before the inevitable deluge, Augusta National sent the field off both No. 1 and No. 10 tees, and grouped the players into threesomes. A similar format is likely for Sunday.

  • Brooks Koepka began the day with a two-shot lead over Jon Rahm, and doubled that by the seventh hole. Koepka was 1-under through the first six holes to stand at 13-under for the week, while Rahm was 1-over to fall to 9-under. Amateur Sam Bennett, playing in their group, bogeyed the first two holes but steadied himself and leads the rest of the field at 6-under.

  • The best rounds of the day belong to Patrick Cantlay and Matthew Fitzpatrick, who have both carded 3-under scores to reach 5-under. Sungjae Im, who made the cut on the number by rolling in a do-or-die par earlier in the day, also is playing a 3-under round to stand at even par.

  • Cantlay, Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland are all at 5-under. Six players, including a resurgent Phil Mickelson, are one stroke back at 4-under. You can view the entire leaderboard here.

  • Mickelson, who has struggled on the LIV tour, is putting together a solid tournament in his return to Augusta National after skipping last year's event. At one point, Mickelson had worked himself into a tie for fourth place. At 4-under when play was suspended, Mickelson sits in eighth place.

  • Tiger Woods, starting off the 10th tee, has struggled throughout. He began the round 3-over, but is 6-over on the round through seven holes to drop to 9-over. He's not alone; Dustin Johnson, another former champion, is also working on a 6-over round.
