Marquette's Oso Ighodaro declares for the NBA draft, won't use fifth season of NCAA eligibility
Oso Ighodaro said before Marquette's season that he was unlikely to use his fifth season of eligibility.
The 6-foot-11 big man made that official Tuesday when he announced on social media that he will be entering the NBA draft.
Ighodaro was named to the all-Big East second team this season. He averaged 13.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

With his length and athleticism, Ighodaro is seen as a late first-round or early second-round pick. He piled up 224 assists over the last two seasons, with his ball-handling and play-making ability intriguing to NBA teams despite Ighodaro being a non-shooter.
Ighodaro improved rapidly after playing just 38 minutes as a freshman in the 2020-21 season for former MU coach Steve Wojciechowski. Ighodaro's unique skills were harnessed under Shaka Smart, and he became a hub of the Golden Eagles' high-powered offense alongside point guard Tyler Kolek over the last two seasons.
Ighodaro was also honored as the Big East scholar-athlete of the year. He completed his finance degree in three years, and is finishing up his MBA.
