Marquette tumbles out of top 10 in this week's Associated Press top 25 college basketball rankings
The Marquette men's basketball team has fallen out of the top 10 in the weekly Associated Press poll for the first time this season.
The Golden Eagles (11-4, 2-2 Big East) checked in at No. 11 on Monday, dropping four spots from last week.

MU had been ranked in the top 10 in the nine previous polls this season, reaching as high as No. 3 on Nov. 27.
Why did the Golden Eagles fall in AP poll?
MU only played one game last week.
The Golden Eagles fell at Seton Hall, 78-75, on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey. MU has lost three straight games on the road.
Who does MU play this week?
It is another week with only one game for the Golden Eagles.
MU faces Butler (10-5, 1-3) at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fiserv Forum. The Golden Eagles have won 20 straight conference games at home to tie a Big East record.
Marquette women's team remains ranked
After an undefeated start over its first 12 games, the MU women's team suffered back-to-back losses to Connecticut and St. John's.
But the Golden Eagles bounced back to beat Xavier at the Al McGuire Center on Saturday, giving head coach Megan Duffy her 100th victory with the program.
MU was ranked 23rd on Monday, moving down four spots.
The Golden Eagles play at Seton Hall on Tuesday.
