MU will play at Dayton on Dec. 14, then the teams will play at Fiserv Forum on a to-be-determined date in the 2025-26 season.

The Flyers, coached by Anthony Grant, are coming off a 25-8 season in which they lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. However, Dayton lost DaRon Holmes, the No. 22 pick in the NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets.

Dayton made some solid pickups in the transfer portal, including former Butler and St. John's guard Posh Alexander and Ohio State big man Zed Key.

One of MU head coach Shaka Smart's early jobs in college basketball was at Dayton as director of basketball operations under Oliver Purnell from 2001-03. Grant and Smart are also former assistants for Billy Donovan at Florida, and Smart followed Grant as head coach at Virginia Commonwealth.
