The Indiana Fever returned from the Olympic break with a 98-89 home win over the Phoenix Mercury on Friday night.

Indiana led by as many as 28 points, but a 20-3 Mercury run actually gave Phoenix a 1-point lead in the third quarter before the Fever wrestled back control of the game.

Rookie star Caitlin Clark had another big game as she tries to help guide the Fever back to the playoffs. She finished with 29 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and shot 8-of-16 from the field, with four made 3-pointers.

Per StatMamba, this is Clark's ninth game this season 20+ points, 5+ rebounds and 5+ assists — second-most in WNBA single season ever.

The Fever improved to 12-15 and remain in the seventh of eight playoff positions.
