The team at EA Sports have shared their player ratings for Madden 25, the latest entry in their long-running video game franchise, and we’re highlighting their grades for New Orleans Saints players at each position group. Next up is the safeties.

The Saints secondary is the strength of the team, but safety is the one void. The Saints have Tyrann Mathieu on the back end. He's a leader on the team, and one of the best players. Madden has him rated as the second best Saints' player regardless of position. Then it's a question mark between Jordan Howden and Johnathan Abram next to Mathieu. This is represented in the ratings

If you're curious, Justin Simmons will not be included on a team's roster at launch as he is still a free agent. But he was the third-best safety overall in the game last year with a 92 rating, and the best player on the Denver Broncos. His Madden rating probably hasn't gone down much after another successful Pro Bowl campaign. We'll see if the Saints can't seal the deal for his services.

The game is scheduled for release on Aug. 16, with early access opening Aug. 13. Here’s how the Saints' safeties stack up in Madden 25:
