Luc Lipcius ties Tennessee baseball career home run record with homer vs. Notre Dame — twice
Luc Lipcius tied the Tennessee baseball home run record with a solo homer to lead off the fifth inning against Notre Dame on Saturday. He tied it again later in the same inning.
Lipcius matched teammate Evan Russell and Todd Helton with his 38th career homer. Russell hit a homer in the fifth to set the program record with 39. Lipcius followed Russell with his second homer of the inning and his 39th. His second homer was a three-run shot to left.
The sixth-year senior has a career-high 18 homers this season. He hit 15 in 2021 after having six in his first four years at UT.
