LSU's Angel Reese wins SEC Player of the Year; Aneesah Morrow, others earn conference honors

Five LSU women's basketball players took home SEC honors on Tuesday, including star forward Angel Reese.

Reese, in her second season with the Tigers, was named the conference's player of the year after averaging 19.1 points and 13 rebounds per game this season, both of which paced the SEC. Reese, who was also on the All-SEC first team and All-SEC defensive team, is the third LSU player to win the award, joining Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles.

Freshman Mikaylah Williams was named the SEC's Freshman of the Year after ranking third on the Tigers in scoring this season (14.9 points per game).

Aneesah Morrow was also named an All-SEC first team selection, while Flau'jae Johnson, last season's SEC freshman of the year, was named to the All-SEC second team. LSU's SEC honors are rounded out by Aalyah Del Rosario, who was named to the SEC All-Freshman team.

Johnson, in her second season with LSU, averaged 13.7 points with 2.1 steals per game this season, while Morrow, who ranked second on the Tigers in scoring, averaged 16.7 points and 10 rebounds per game this season.

Del Rosario, who appeared in 30 games with one start this season, averaged 5.4 and four rebounds per game this season off the bench.
