LSU women's basketball vs. Alabama: Score, live updates
The month of February is where teams separate themselves in their respective conference standings as well as positioning themselves for seeding in the NCAA Tournament.
LSU women's basketball, who had a rough, small stretch at the end of January, have answered the bell, thumping Florida and Vanderbilt in its last two games to get back to tied for second in the Southeastern Conference standings.
Maintaining its solid play will be paramount as Kim Mulkey's Tigers look to make a push for the league tournament 2-seed as well as climbing back up NCAA Tournament projections. No. 13 LSU (20-4, 7-3 SEC) hosts a soaring Alabama team Sunday (3 p.m., ESPN2) inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers took care of the Tide (19-6, 6-4) earlier this season in Tuscaloosa, winning 78-58.
Alabama comes into the matchup Sunday on a four-game winning streak. It knocked off Tennessee on Thursday night for its best win of the season and will have plenty of confidence coming into the PMAC.
