LSU women's basketball-South Carolina ticket prices cost as much as $1,000

Women's college basketball fans have been looking forward to the regular season matchup between LSU women's basketball and South Carolina since Kim Mulkey and the Tigers won the NCAA championship back last season.

While the game has lost a little bit of steam due to LSU dropping a couple of games, anticipation remains high for the top-10 showdown between No. 9 LSU (18-2, 5-1) and Dawn Staley and her No. 1-ranked South Carolina team (17-0, 5-0) at 7 p.m. Thursday inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The matchup, set to be broadcast on ESPN, features the last two national championship-winning squads.

LSU officials have told The Daily Advertiser that the team has sold all of the tickets it plans to sell before gameday, holding a small number for walk-up sales on gameday. A sellout is expected Thursday night.

ESPN's College Gameday will broadcast live from the PMAC before the game, adding to the fan fare. LSU will open the doors to the arena 90 minutes prior to tipoff.

As gameday approaches, tickets prices on the secondary market are ticking up to as high as $1,281 for a pair of seats located in Section 112, as one seller has them listed on StubHub. On Vividseats, the highest price for two tickets is $1,173 in the same section.

LSU's secondary ticket market partner SeatGeek, has prices that are a little more manageable. The going rate for a pair of tickets located in Section 112 is $904.

If you wanted to go by yourself, the lowest price for a single for the game is $79 for a spot in the upperdeck while for a better seat, you could shell out as much as $970, as one seller is asking on StubHub.
