LSU women's basketball SEC Tournament: How far will Kim Mulkey's squad go?
GREENVILLE, S.C. — LSU women's basketball is seeking its first SEC Tournament championship game appearance under Kim Mulkey after losses in the quarterfinals and semifinals the last two seasons.
The Tigers' path to Championship Sunday begins Friday night (5 p.m. CT, SEC Network) as they take on No. 7 Auburn (20-10) inside Bon Secours Arena. Auburn knocked out No. 10 Arkansas in the second round Thursday night.
LSU (26-4) clinched a double-bye in the SEC Tournament and the No. 2 seed behind regular season champions No. 1 South Carolina. LSU star forward Angel Reese earned SEC Player of the Year honors, leading the league in scoring at 19 points and rebounding with 13 rebounds per game.
The Tigers and Auburn split two regular season meetings, each team winning at home.

LSU 63, Auburn 59: Tigers tangle for a third clash this season. Just like it did in Baton Rouge, LSU will make enough plays led by Angel Reese and Aneeash Morrow inside the lane in the second half to survive and advance.
LSU 75, Ole Miss 60: LSU makes it way through another defensive-minded squad in Coach Yo's Rebels. LSU works the inside-out game as Hailey Van Lith and other guards knock down shots to propel LSU to the SEC title game.
