BATON ROUGE — Saturday night will be the last tune-up before LSU football dives deep into Southeastern Conference play in two weeks.
No. 13 LSU (3-1) welcomes South Alabama (2-2) to Tiger Stadium for its final nonconference game of the 2024 season Saturday (6:45 p.m., SEC Network).
Everyone is expecting a lot of points to be scored between the Tigers and the Jaguars. Both teams are averaging more than 33 points per game while their defenses have myriad of issues opponents have taken advantage of through the first few weeks this year.

Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has passed for 13 touchdowns through four games and last week against UCLA, found nine different receivers.
The Jaguars are led by a freshman duo of running back Fluff Bothwell and quarterback Gio Lopez.

He ripped off an 86-yard run that set the Tigers up on the 1-yard line. Next play, Nussmeier dove in on the quarterback sneak. Durham has two touches and 157 yards so far tonight.

Garrett Nussmeier tosses the screen pass out to freshman running back Caden Durham, who turned upfield and had great blocking in front of him. He evaded two tackles and he was gone.
