Louisville basketball schedule is complete. See Pat Kelsey's path in 2024-25

Louisville men's basketball head coach Pat Kelsey has made it clear from Day 1 that he isn't concerned with the past.

No, one of the sport's 15 winningest programs is not broken, he said, after it went 12-52 across Kenny Payne's two seasons at the helm. It's "ready to rock."

"We all know where we want to go," Kelsey said during his introductory news conference back in March. "It's about getting to work and getting after it — the next thing."

The next thing is the main event. The Cardinals' complete 2024-25 schedule was unveiled Tuesday night. And with that, we've officially entered the home stretch of the countdown to tipoff.

Considering U of L fans were subjected to more losses by 20-plus points than victories during Payne's tenure, the bar is low for what qualifies as a successful Year 1 under this new regime. Kelsey, however, is approaching the rebuilding process with a mindset of, "The standard is the standard."

In that case, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 would be a good place to start on the Cards' journey back to national prominence.

After the return of Louisville Live (Oct. 4, KFC Yum! Center), Kelsey's team will play two exhibition games during the final month leading up to the Nov. 4 season opener against Morehead State at home. Five days later, U of L welcomes Tennessee to town for the first marquee matchup of its nonconference slate.

Other highlights include a Thanksgiving week trip to the Bahamas for the Bad Boy Battle 4 Atlantis (Nov. 27-29), an SEC/ACC Challenge matchup against Ole Miss (Dec. 3) and the annual showdown with archrival Kentucky (Dec. 14), which will pit Kelsey and new Wildcats coach Mark Pope against each other for the first time.

The Cards will play two ACC games before the calendar flips to 2025: Dec. 8 at home against Duke and Dec. 21 on the road against Florida State. The bulk of conference play begins with a home game against North Carolina on New Year's Day and concludes with three straight at the Yum! Center, against Pittsburgh, California and Stanford.

Those last two names sound unfamiliar to you? The Golden Bears and Cardinal joined the league this season along with SMU. Louisville will head to Dallas on Jan. 21 to face to the Mustangs.

With the ACC's expansion to 18 members, only the top 15 teams in the final regular-season standings will earn spots in the conference tournament; which runs March 11-15 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Here's a look at U of L's complete 2024-25 schedule:
