Louisiana football's Lance LeGendre suspended indefinitely following arrest
Louisiana football wide receiver Lance LeGendre has been indefinitely suspended, following an on-campus arrest early Wednesday morning.
According to a report obtained by The Daily Advertiser, University police responded to a call for an altercation between LeGendre, 23, and "a dating" individual at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday at the 200 block of Theatre Street. The Ragin' Cajuns' receiver was arrested on the charge of battery following the dispute.
LeGendre has been released on bond.
UL athletic department confirmed LeGendre's suspension Thursday stating, "we are aware of the situation involving Lance LeGendre. Per Athletics Department policy, he has been suspended indefinitely from all team related activities.
The football team is slated to open preseason practice next week on Aug. 3.
LeGendre, the former subject of Netflix's docuseries "QB1," has been expected to be a key contributor for this season's Cajun team after switching from quarterback to receiver.

The 6-2, 224-pounder and New Orleans native signed with Maryland to play quarterback out of Warren Easton High School back in 2019.
