The Louisiana football coaching staff is looking to wash the bad taste out of its mouth from a disappointing overtime loss to Jacksonville State in the New Orleans Bowl on Saturday afternoon as the team finished its second straight season with a losing record.

What better way than to flip the page than by welcoming in a crop of new players. The Ragin' Cajuns officially started the process of retooling their roster as the early signing period opened Wednesday.

Louisiana signed 15 total players, 11 high school and JUCO players along with four transfers, to the 2024 recruiting class. By the end of the first day of the early signing period, UL's class ranks 114th nationally, according to 247sports, as well as 11th in the Sun Belt Conference.

How the team stacks up won't be decided during the early signing period as Louisiana will be active to add to its 2024 recruiting class on National Signing Day in February.

Here's an early look at the newest Ragin' Cajuns.
