Report: Rams trade wide receiver Robert Woods to Titans for sixth-round draft pick

The Los Angeles Rams are moving on from Robert Woods.

The Rams traded their longtime star receiver to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday night, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

In exchange, the Rams will get a 2023 sixth-round draft pick from the Titans.

Woods had 556 receiving yards and four touchdowns in nine games last season for the Rams, though he tore his ACL in practice midway through the year. Woods missed their postseason run and win in Super Bowl LVI, but he’s said that he expects to be ready to go for the start of next season.

The 29-year-old had 936 yards and six touchdowns in 2020, which came on the heels of two 1,100-yard seasons.

Woods has four years left on his $65 million deal.

The Rams have reportedly been shopping Woods for days. They reached a deal to bring in Chicago Bears receiver Allen Robinson in free agency earlier this week, and then agreed to a four-year extension with quarterback Matthew Stafford on Saturday.

The Titans will now mark Woods' third team in the league, as he spent his first four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. Though he must still make it back to full strength after his ACL injury, Woods should be a valuable target for Ryan Tannehill this fall.
