Los Angeles Clippers hold the Boston Celtics to just 96 points at home

The Boston Celtics may be one of the best defensive ball clubs in the NBA this season, but they got a taste of their own medicine against the Los Angeles Clippers at TD Garden on Saturday evening. Held to a tie of their season-worst offensive output in the 115-96 loss, the Celtics could not hit the sea with a pebble against the Clips.

Boston shot just 36.0% from the field and a very poor 25% from the 3-point arc, allowing far too many easy buckets for Los Angeles over the course of the game. Just two Celtics scored in double figures, and only one starter at that — Jayson Tatum. Pretty much everyone else on the roster had mediocre to bad games against the Clippers in a tilt most Boston fans (and likely players) would prefer to forget.

NBC Sports Boston’s Brian Scalabrine, Eddie House and Tom Giles took some time to talk through what they thought went wrong in the blowout loss on the latest episode of “Postgame Live” — check it out below.
