Los Angeles Chargers draft picks 2023: Round-by-round selections
Here is a 2023 NFL draft pick-by-pick breakdown for the Los Angeles Chargers:
Round 1 (No. 21 overall) — Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU: QB Justin Herbert will have twin towers downfield options with Johnston (6-3, 208 pounds) joining another uber-sized wideout in Mike Williams. Johnston, who has sub-4.5 speed, averaged 19 yards per catch in college and had a dozen TD grabs over the past two seasons. However he's prone to drops and must clean up his concentration. Round 2 (54) — Tuli Tuipulotu, DE/LB, USC: The two-time All-Pac 12 selection and conference defensive player of the year in 2022 topped the nation with 13 sacks last season, when he also had 22 TFLs. At 6-3 and 266 pounds, Tuipulotu should start off as a nice rotational piece and insurance behind Bolts OLBs Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa, both prone to injuries at this stage of their careers. Round 3 (85) — Daiyan Henley, LB, Washington State: Interesting body type at 6-1, 225 pounds with 4.5 speed. Size and range should get him on the field early on for passing downs. Draft tracker
