Look: Michigan State TE Maliq Carr bounces off Indiana defense for game-winning touchdown

The 3-7 Spartans and the 3-7 Hoosiers battled it out all day Saturday as both looked to avoid finishing last in the Big Ten East.

Montorie Foster already had one unbelievable touchdown catch in the game, but tight end Maliq Carr did him one better late in the fourth quarter, thanks to the gravity of the moment in MSU's eventual 24-21 win.

With the Spartans down 21-17 late in the game, Carr hauled in a pass from Katin Houser at the 13-yard line and bounced off not one, not two, but three Indiana defenders en route to a massive score to give MSU a 24-21 lead.

THE GAME: Michigan State football's late TD holds up in wild 24-21 win at Indiana

Carr, a 6-6-inch, 260-pound tight end for the Spartans, used his size to great effect on the play as he pinballed off the would-be tacklers. Michigan State would go on to win, with Carr's TD standing as the game-winner.

Is it a great run, or unbelievably poor tackling? In this case, a little bit of both. But regardless, it's an unbelievable effort from Carr to will his team to what would ultimately be a win.

The win moved Michigan State to 4-7 on the season, with Foster and Carr making two of the best plays of the year for the Spartans. It topped off a massive day for Carr overall, a piece de resistance as it were: He finished with seven catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. It tripled his touchdown total for the year, and gave the redshirt junior some momentum heading into Detroit against Penn State on Black Friday.

Houser, who delivered the dime, finished completing 25 of 40 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns to two interceptions to blemish his stat sheet. It's Michigan State's second win in three games after starting 0-5 in conference play.
