Jack Catterall vs. Regis Prograis highlights: See how Catterall twice knocked down Prograis, won decision
Uncrowned has Jack Catterall vs. Regis Prograis highlights and results for the Catterall vs. Prograis fight card on Saturday at Co-op Live in Manchester, England. Catterall and Prograis faced off in a 12-round main event.
Catterall competed for the second time of 2024 after previously avenging his lone career defeat with a unanimous decision over Josh Taylor in May. Prograis, a former WBC super lightweight champion, hoped to find redemption after dropping his belt with a lopsided loss to Devin Haney this past December.
In the end, Catterall twice knocked down Prograis and pulled away late to win a wide unanimous decision (117-108, 116-109, 116-109) after being briefly dropped once in the early rounds.

Catterall Beats Prograis By Unanimous Decision
Jack Catterall takes a unanimous decision win (117-108, 116-109, 116-109) over Regis Prograis in their battle of top-10 super lightweights.

Prograis appear to have hurt his ankle in the final round as he slipped and rolled over on it. He swings and misses — Prograis does not have the coordination to close the gap with his injured ankle and can't land anything significant in the 12th. Catterall connects with the left hand to the body in the final 20 seconds.

Prograis was unable to close the distance in the penultimate round. Catterall's left hand does find a home twice on Prograis' chin though.

Double left hand from Catterall, to the body and to the head. Prograis responds with his own left hand. Catterall fires back with two more of his own. The man from Chorley has been more active in this round.

Strong left hand from Prograis at the halfway point in Round 7, Prograis believes he has hurt Catterall with that punch. Catterall tries the left hand to the body and a short left uppercut. His punches are not landing as impactfully as Prograis' did in that round though.

Now Prograis connects with the left hand, and again 30 seconds later. Prograis is forcing Catterall back with the jab and then unloading with the left hand. DOWN GOES CATTERALL! Catterall looked for the left hand again in Round 4 and he landed it in the final 15 seconds — the shot connected similar to how it did in Round 3. In rounds as slow as these, a single punch could swing it to either man.

It's a repeat of the first fight as Jimmy Joe Flint beats Campbell Hatton in their rematch with a hard-fought unanimous decision (97-94, 96-94, 96-95). Back-to-back defeats for Hatton.

A scrappy final round as both men are tired, but their will is so strong that they keep fighting and look to close the last stanza stronger than the other. Flint HURTS Hatton with a right hand, left hook combination in the final minute! Hatton responds with his own right hand.
It's been another all-action fight between Campbell Hatton and Jimmy Joe Flint, but Flint has done enough to win this fight again in this writer's opinion.

Closer round. Hatton smothers a lot of his own work and struggles to land eye-catching punches that are easy for the judges to see. Flint with some good work on the inside and with the right hand.

Flint is coming on strong. Hatton is no longer having the success he did earlier in the fight. The pace has slowed down and he is not landing as clean because Flint can see the punches coming. Hatton hasn't been able to adapt and Flint has, and as a result Flint looks on his way to winning this fight.

The best round of the fight for Flint. Hatton is too predictable with the double jab, overhand rights. He is also lacking in defense, wildly jumping in with shots, making it easy for Flint to counter him.

Flint finishes the round stronger once again. Hatton started the round well, the left hook is working well for him. Flint got the better of the action when they traded in the center of the ring though, as he just stepped back before Hatton could get the second phase of his shots off.

A pair of overhand rights from Hatton were the best connects of the round. Flint did better in the second half of Round 5 though, letting his hands go and landing, particularly with the right uppercut. Hatton connected with another strong body shot in the final minute.

Great action fight going on between Hatton and Flint so far. Hatton constantly applying pressure on Flint, looking to let his hands go as he closes the distance. Flint chooses to counter, mostly with that straight right hand, which Hatton is sometimes vulnerable to.

Flint was hurt in the middle of the round with an attack from Hatton, it started with the right hand. The Hatton corner told him to attack the body and he did just that with a pair of hooks. Flint ended the round strong though with a couple of right hands.

The heads have clashed on numerous occasions already, so it comes as little surprise that Hatton is cut over the left eye from a clash of heads.
A very strong round for Hatton though, who landed two big power punches — a counter left hook and a peach of a right uppercut. Hatton pushed the pace throughout the round.

A very scrappy first half of the opener with lots of holding from both guys. Flint had the better of the second half though, landing clean with his right hand on several occasions. Hatton landed a three-punch combination, but it was Flint scoring the more telling shots.

James Flint (14-2-2) and Campbell Hatton (14-1) rematch over 10 rounds at super lightweight in the fight before the main event. Flint beat the son of the legendary Ricky Hatton by unanimous decision in March to retain his Central Area title. That title is not on the line tonight.

McCormack Beats Herrera By Unanimous Decision
Pat McCormack takes a shutout unanimous decision (100-90 3) over Williams Andres Herrera to win the WBA Intercontinental welterweight title.
Eddie Hearn, McCormack's promoter, reveals to DAZN that he would like for McCormack to move quickly now, into British title-level fights.

McCormack now tries that right uppercut to the body, Herrera complains about a low blow to the referee whenever he is hit to the body. Herrera survives the 10-round distance but has been on the wrong end of a dominant showing by the 2020 Olympic Silver medallist.

McCormack whips a brilliant right uppercut through Herrera's tight guard. The Argentine is in survival mode. Herrera was momentarily stunned by a straight right hand in the final minute. McCormack is countering Herrera whenever he does decide to open up.

McCormack is displaying his talent vividly now. Even with 15 months out of the ring, he looks like the world-class prospect boxing fans know he can be. A very one-sided contest and Herrera will need something drastic to change the course of this one.

Herrera goes down from a low blow for the second time in this fight and takes a full minute to recover. McCormack has now settled into his rhythm, unloading combinations on Herrera. The hand speed is too quick for Herrera to be able to counter or get out of the way. McCormack is in control.

The British and Commonwealth super featherweight title fight between Reece Bellotti and Michael Gomez Jr., which was scheduled to be the co-feature tonight, has been cancelled. DAZN commentary indicated that the BBBofC refused to medical clear Gomez in the locker room due to a kidney infection.

Good left hook in the final 40 seconds of Round 3 from Pat McCormack followed by a brilliant uppercut in the last 10 seconds. McCormack is breaking Herrera down now, the most dominant round of the fight for him.

Herrera opens up a little more in the second round but is met by a sharp counter right hand to the head as soon as the Argentine lets his hands go. McCormack is utilising feints to create openings.
