Game recap: IU women's basketball pulls off the upset against Iowa, Caitlin Clark
The Indiana women's basketball has lost two of its last five contests going into tonight's matchup against Iowa and Caitlin Clark.
No. 16 IU (21-4, 12-3 Big Ten) is coming off an 86-66 defeat to Illinois while No. 4 Iowa is 23-3 overall and 11-1 in league play. Last time the Hoosiers took on the Hawkeyes, Iowa won 84-57 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.

End 4Q: Indiana gets its revenge, upsets Iowa and Caitlin Clark
Iowa cut IU's lead to 9 on a couple of occasions. Chloe Moore-McNeil's free throw at 2:26 made it 78-68.
Sara Scalia hit a big 3-pointer at 2:06 to give the Hoosiers a 13-point lead. Mackenzie Holmes' layup made it a 15-point lead at the 1:31 mark.
Caitlin Clark had an impressive game of 24 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. But the Hawkeyes made just 19% of its 3-point attempts.
Scalia led all scorers with 25 points. Mackenzie Holmes had 24 points and 9 rebounds. Yarden Garzon had 15 points.

Yarden Garzon helped IU begin the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run. Garzon had 5 of those points.

End 3Q: Indiana leads Iowa by 8 heading into the fourth quarter
Addison O'Grady made a layup to cut IU's lead to 59-49 with 2:50 left in the period. A little more than a minute later, O'Grady made another layup to make it 59-51.
At 1:09, Chloe Moore-McNeil sunk a 3-pointer for IU. Iowa's Gabbie Marshall answered with a 3 of her own on the ensuing possession.

Iowa cut IU's lead to 11 at 5:08, but then Sydney Parrish hit back-to-back 3-pointers to send the crowd into a frenzy.

Indiana is on a 5-0 run to start the third quarter. Sara Scalia and Mackenzie Holmes each made shots. IU has its largest lead of the game.

End 2Q: Indiana hold 11-point lead over Iowa
Sara Scalia made 2 free throws to give IU a 37-27 lead at 3:15. In a different possession, Yarden Garzon missed a shot but Sydney Parrish got the rebound. She gave it right back to Garzon, who was fouled as she made the basket. She went on to miss the free throw.
Caitlin Clark made a 3-pointer at 2:04. It was her 20th point. At the :37 mark, Garzon hit a 3-pointer. She has 8 points.
The Hawkeyes scored just 11 points in that quarter.

4:50 left 2Q: Indiana holds slim lead over Iowa
Yarden Garzon scored the first points of the new quarter with a 3-pointer at 9:11. Caitlin Clark made a 3 of her own at 7:56 to cut IU's lead to 28-25, but Lexus Bargesser answered with a layup.
Mackenzie Holmes has 10 points and 5 rebounds. Caitlin Clark has 16 points and 6 rebounds.

End 1Q: IU ends quarter with a bang
Iowa has been spreading the ball around a little more. The Hawkeyes went on a 7-0 run that was broken by a Mackenzie Holmes layup.
IU retook the lead at the :28 mark when Julianna LaMendola scored a layup to make it 21-20 Hoosiers. Caitlin Clark then made back-to-back free throws to give the lead back to the Hawkeyes.
Lexus Bargesser hit a jumper to give IU the lead at the buzzer.

Indiana Fever GM, head coach at IU-Iowa to watch Caitlin Clark
The Indiana Fever owns the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. If Caitlin Clark decides to go pro, she'll likely be headed to the Fever.
