Indiana Fever fall to Washington Mystics 89-84, Caitlin Clark has 29 points, 13 assists

The Indiana Fever (9-13) face off with the Washington Mystics (5-17) today at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a rare noon start on a weekday.

Caitlin Clark is coming off a triple-double in which she was the first WNBA rookie to accomplish that feat. She was also the first member of the Fever to record a triple-double.

The Fever nearly came back in this one but Washington held on at the very end. Caitlin Clark put up 29 points, 13 assists, five rebounds and five steals.

Indiana shot 53% from the floor and committed 21 turnovers.

Caitlin Clark made two free throws to make it a one-possession game. Ariel Atkins made a basket on the other end, but Clark made two more free throws to make it 87-84 with 45 seconds left.
