Replay: Texas football wraps up spring game with impressive Orange-White performances
Texas wrapped up spring practices today with its annual Orange-White Game before a big crowd eager to get a first glimpse at the 2024 Longhorns.
Quarterback Arch Manning got extended playing time and didn't disappoint while throwing for an unofficial 352 yards and three TDs. Freshman Trey Owens three three TDs as the Orange team beat the White, 35-34.
Bert Auburn does a doink
The Texas kicker tries a 45-yarder, and he bangs it off the right goalpost. It's his first miss in three tries. A sack by freshman Colin Simmons set up the longish try. - Thomas Jones

Freshman quarterback Trey Owens hits Thatcher Milton in stride for a 50-yard touchdown pass! Will Owens or Milton get much playing time this year? Does it matter? Big play by the Orange team, which now leads 14-0.
Big Alfred Collins gets a pick six!
Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Alfred Collins grabs a Quinn Ewers pass batted by edge Ethan Burke and rumbles about 30 yards into the end zone for a pick-six. Coaches are expecting big things from Collins, and he delivers. He did the same thing against Colorado in the Alamo Bowl a few years ago.
DTs should draw attention
