Listen: Kevin Harlan and other thrilling calls of Mecole Hardman's Super Bowl-winning TD
The Kansas City Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl on Sunday night thanks to a Mecole Hardman touchdown catch in overtime. Though Jim Nantz and Tony Romo were calling the television broadcast for CBS, there were a few other epic calls of the play, including one from Kevin Harlan via a radio broadcast.
Harlan, who began his football broadcasting career as the voice of the Chiefs, was the play-by-play announcer for Westwood One Sports Radio's Super Bowl broadcast on Sunday.
After the San Francisco 49ers scored first to begin overtime in the 2024 Super Bowl, Harlan was on the call for the Chiefs' ensuing drive, including the Super Bowl-winning touchdown pass to Hardman.
"It's caught! Hardman caught the ball! The Chiefs have won! The Chiefs have won!" Harlan said on the call.
