LeBron James' Space Jam 2 has its first poster ... and a far-off release date
As the world prepares for “Space Jam 2,” we officially have our first look at LeBron James in the iconic Tune Squad jersey. We also know how long it will be before we see the movie.
James’ SpringHill Entertainment production company announced the release date of “Space Jam 2” and even added a poster of the Los Angeles Lakers star next to Bugs and Lola Bunny. The movie will hit theaters on July 16, 2021, more than two years from now.

While the long wait might be disappointing to some fans — James might not even be considered the best player in basketball by the time the movie comes out — it’s certainly understandable. Melding live-action and animation is enough of a production, but trying to work it into an extremely busy athlete’s schedule sounds like a logistical nightmare.
But we at least now know that the movie is almost certainly coming, as James revealed last week that filming was scheduled to begin this summer.
Now we wait to see which NBA stars are getting their talent stolen.
