Latest Alabama football rankings: Where Crimson Tide ranks in US LBM Coaches Poll
Alabama football made a statement in its Week 3 road win against Wisconsin, beating the Badgers 42-10 at Camp Randall Stadium. But it was not enough of a statement to move the Crimson Tide up in the latest set of college football rankings.
Heading into Alabama's Week 4 open date, the Crimson Tide was ranked as the No. 4 team in the country in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll behind No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Texas and No. 3 Ohio State. Alabama also remained No. 4 in the AP Top 25, with Texas ascending to No. 1 and Georgia falling a spot to No. 2.
Nine SEC teams appear in the coaches poll, with the Bulldogs (No. 1), Longhorns (No. 2), Crimson Tide (No. 4), Ole Miss (No. 5), Tennessee (No. 7), Missouri (No. 8), Oklahoma (No. 13), LSU (No. 16) and Texas A&M (No. 24) all ranked.
In the first road game of the Kalen DeBoer era, Alabama used 407 yards of offense, including 271 from quarterback Jalen Milroe, to hand the Badgers their largest loss since Dec. 6, 2014. Up next, the Crimson Tide will face Georgia to open SEC play at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
