Latest Alabama basketball bracketology, NCAA Tournament projections for March Madness
Alabama basketball is at risk of slipping in the NCAA Tournament projections and bracketology.
The Crimson Tide had been fairly consistent in March Madness predictions as a No. 3 seed, but after the loss to No. 4 Tennessee, Alabama is listed as a No. 4 seed in some of the latest NCAA Tournament forecasts.
The SEC is still in play for the Crimson Tide, but it no longer controls its own destiny. A good move toward preventing a further fall in seeding would be to beat No. 25 Florida on the road Tuesday (6 p.m. CT, ESPN). Heading into that game, here is the latest bracketology for the Crimson Tide.

ESPN: 4 seed (Spokane)
Projection date: March 5
Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology projections moved the Crimson Tide down to a No. 4 seed after projecting Alabama to a No. 3 seed for several weeks. In his prediction, Lunardi sends the Crimson Tide to Spokane first as part of the East region (Boston). In the first round, Alabama would face No. 13 seed UC Irvine before a matchup with either No. 5 seed Washington State or No. 12 seed Princeton.
CBS Sports: 4 seed (Pittsburgh)
Projection date: March 3
In Jerry Palm's projection, he also bumped Alabama to a No. 4 seed after weeks of No. 3 seed projections. Palm predicts a first-round matchup with No. 13 McNeese State before a game against No. 5 Utah State or No. 12 Richmond. This projection puts Alabama in the South region.
USA TODAY: 3 seed (Brooklyn)
Projection date: March 5
The USA TODAY Sports crew kept Alabama in the No. 3 seed spot unlike ESPN and CBS. In this projection, Alabama would play No. 14 seed College of Charleston before a matchup with either No. 6 seed Washington State or No. 11 seed New Mexico/Villanova.
