Kraken's Oliver Bjorkstrand Expected To Be A Healthy Scratch Against The Avalanche
Seattle Kraken forward Oliver Bjorkstrand is expected to be a healthy scratch tonight against the Colorado Avalanche.
The Kraken conclude their road trip tonight with their second matchup of the season against the Avalanche. Earlier today, Ryan Winterton was called up from the Kraken's AHL affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, and is expected to make his season debut. He's coming off of a two-goal and four-point night.

John Hayden is also expected to make his season debut tonight. He was called up before the team travelled to Montreal to begin this current five-game road trip.

Bjorkstrand has just two goals and five points in 13 games this year and also has no points in his previous three games. HC Dan Bylsma stated that "the message is not just to Oliver. It's to the whole group."
Tye Kartye is also expected to sit out tonight's game as he's also struggled to improve on his rookie season. Through 13 games, the 23-year-old has recorded just one goal and 14 shots.

The Kraken are 1-3-0 on their current road trip, with back-to-back shutout losses and are in desperate need of a win. The further they fall behind in the standings, the harder it will be to make up for the missing points later in the season. A change needed to be made to spark some life into the Kraken lineup and Bylsma hopes Hayden's physicality and Winterton's speed and skill can unlock the team's scoring.
