Kraken Recall Forward From Coachella Valley Firebirds

The Seattle Kraken have recalled forward Ryan Winterton from the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

The 21-year-old was one of the final cuts during training camp due to the Kraken’s cap situation and that Winterton was waiver exempt.

In the AHL this season, Winterton has scored three goals and five points in seven games. He’s tied for the team lead in goals and trails just Ben Meyers in points.

Winterton picked up nine games of NHL experience during the 2023-24 season but wasn’t able to notch his first goal or point.

At the moment, no Kraken forward has suffered any injuries and John Hayden was called up before the team embarked on their road trip but with the team set to practice before tonight’s matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, we will be able to get a better understanding of this call-up and discover if any Kraken forward picked up a knock over the weekend.

Vince Dunn remains on the LTIR which has freed up the cap space and roster space to make this transaction.
