Kevin Durant and Patrick Beverley trade Twitter barbs after Nets reconciliation
Kevin Durant is back with the Brooklyn Nets, and so are his Twitter fights.
Soon after the Nets announced they and Durant agreed to stick together, Utah Jazz guard Patrick Beverley asserted that the months-long trade speculation around Durant likely affected the livelihood of many players in the league. Beverley insinuated that players, "Haven't got a job because of this KD [expletive]," and that he didn't like the Nets effectively dangling the allure of a Durant trade in front of seemingly every other team in the NBA. Beverley added that what went down all offseason between Durant and the Nets was "not good business" and that was "hurting the future" for other NBA players.
Durant didn't take too kindly to that, though, and let Beverley know it. Beverley tried to explain himself immediately after Durant tweeted at him.

The last we heard from Durant (in Nets-related news, at least), he categorically denied a report that he would retire from the NBA if the Nets didn't trade him. Otherwise, though, he's been the subject of rumors from across the NBA – most notably with the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and the Memphis Grizzlies. Many teams have offered packages for Durant since he requested a trade in June, but seemingly none were good enough for the Nets to accept.
Durant's other Twitter target
Durant didn't save all his Twitter attacks for Beverley. He also went after Texas-based on-air reporter Jordan Hicks, who also called Durant out after he and the Nets agreed to reunite. Durant went with the classic "who are you?" insult in his response to Hicks.
I don’t have to explain myself to Jordan hicks. Who are u again? https://t.co/MnnUuq1Znj
