Kalani Brown, Glory Johnson announce positive coronavirus tests a day before WNBA season begins
The Atlanta Dream won’t have Kalani Brown or Glory Johnson when the WNBA season begins Saturday. Both Brown and Johnson revealed positive coronavirus tests Friday. Both intend to join the team once they test negative.
Both Brown and Johnson tested positive roughly two weeks ago. Brown, 23, said she tested positive July 9 and has experienced symptoms, including body aches and shortness of breath.

Johnson said after spending weeks in quarantine, she is finally testing negative. She plans to join the Dream soon.
While the WNBA season begins Saturday, the Dream will not play their first game until Sunday. The team will take on the Dallas Wings in their season opener.
The Dream confirmed both players would miss the start of the season in separate statements Friday. Johnson signed with the team in February. The Dream acquired Brown in a trade with the Los Angeles Sparks that same month.
