Josh Allen misses Bills practice with injured shoulder; Rasul Douglas listed as 'just got here'
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen missed his first practice of the regular season with a shoulder injury Wednesday. He said said it shouldn't impact his availability against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football.
Allen has been bothered by an injury to his right throwing shoulder since Week 6. He said resting Wednesday was part of the Bills' plan.
"I hate not practicing. I hate not being involved in what we're doing," Allen told reporters after Wednesday's practice. "At the same time, I know this is probably what's best. Just putting myself in the best situation so I'm ready to go."
Bills head coach Sean McDermott initially said Allen would be limited at Wednesday's practice.
"I don't think it's going to linger too much. If I had to practice today, absolutely would," Allen said. "If the game was today, I'm playing in the game."
Allen intends to practice on Thursday.

When did Josh Allen re-aggravate his shoulder injury?
Allen went back into the blue medical tent in the second quarter scrambling against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday. Allen was tripped up along the right sideline by linebacker YaYa Diaby and fell on his right shoulder. He flexed his leg a couple of times and then did some arm circles while returning to the huddle. On the next play, Allen ran for a 13-yard touchdown but he was tended to by medical personnel on Tampa Bay's ensuing possession. Backup quarterback Kyle Allen briefly warmed up but Josh Allen returned to the sideline and began throwing with his helmet on. He didn't miss any Bills offensive plays.

Rasul Douglas does not practice because he 'just got here'
Cornerback Rasul Douglas missed practice a day after he was acquired in a trade by the Bills in a trade. It wasn't because Douglas was injured, he just couldn't get to Buffalo in time.
Douglas was on the Bills injury report as a DNP. The official reason: "Just got here".
