Jon Jones to UFC: 'Just f***ing let me go'
On Saturday, Jon Jones called for UFC to "show me the money" in the aftermath of Francis Ngannou's heavyweight title bout defeat of Stipe Miocic.
On Monday he demanded that the UFC "just f***ing let me go."
UFC's top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter and the presumptive top challenger to Ngannou unleashed an angry Twitter rant aimed at UFC and its boss, Dana White, apparently displeased with the initial round of negotiations for the would-be blockbuster fight.
He deleted the tweets, but like most things of note on the internet, they were preserved via screenshot.

This all seems familiar
Contract impasses are nothing new between Jones and UFC.
Jones relinquished his light heavyweight belt last August amid a contract dispute while leaving the door open to return at heavyweight. That decision arrived months after Jones walked away from talks of a previous fight with Ngannou, negotiations Jones described as "unbelievable" in a similar Twitter rant.
He's threatened to sit out up to three years while pushing White for higher pay. And now he's simply asking to be cut free — before deleting the tweets, of course.
Will this fight actually happen?
Jones hasn't fought since defeating Dominick Reyes in February 2020 to defend his light heavyweight belt for an 11th straight time. He, White and Ngannou have all expressed interest in making this fight happen. White previously announced that Jones would face the winner of Saturday's fight.
Now that Ngannou's the champ, the only thing stopping the fight is an impasse in negotiations. Will the two sides come to terms?
