Joel Embiid to return from shoulder injury on Wednesday
After missing two weeks with a shoulder sprain, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is returning to the court.
The All-Star center was reported to be active for the Sixers’ game against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

The Sixers themselves announced the news with a fun video mocking the hilariously wrong “Jeopardy!” answer about Embiid’s nickname, which one contestant guessed was “Do a 180.”

Embiid has been out since Feb. 26, missing five games. In that span, the 76ers have looked like a mess, going 2-3 with a loss to the last-place Golden State Warriors.
Embiid is currently averaging 23.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
The team is still without Ben Simmons, whom has been out since the end of February with a nerve impingement in his lower back. Embiid’s return should still significantly help though, as the 38-26 Sixers try to show they’re still significant contenders in the East.
