Joel Embiid on Game 2 illness: 'If you've had the s---s before, you'd know how it feels'
The Philadelphia 76ers took care of business in Game 2 against the Toronto Raptors with a 94-89 win to even the series at 1-1.
In the middle of it all was Joel Embiid, who posted a relatively quiet night with 12 points on 2-for-7 shooting, six rebounds, five assists and at least one defensive lowlight.
Of course, the Sixers were likely just happy Embiid made it to the floor after his status was in question before the game due to gastroenteritis, a stomach virus. The team was worried enough about him having to sit out that it kept third-string Amir Johnson active for the game.
Embiid ended up posting only 32 minutes, lowest among the Sixers’ starters. When asked after the game about his virus, Embiid did not hold back, to the amusement of co-star Jimmy “not James” Butler.

"If you've had the s---ts before, you would know how it feels," Embiid said. “These are my guys that want to show up every night, play hard and tonight, I felt like that was a big game for us.”
Embiid was also limited for much of the Sixers’ first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets, but that’s a lot less relatable for the common man.
Hopefully, Embiid feels a little better for Game 3 on Thursday.
