Marcus Hayes wrote a column where he mentioned Joellen Bead's son and his late brother.
His late brother's name is Arthur.
That's why he named his son Arthur in columns.
Basically questioning Jo Allen Bead's professionalism, his conditioning, his attendance, right?
I didn't think he was taking a show shot at someone's dead brother.
It was in bad taste like I wouldn't have done it, but it wasn't anything, anything inherently derogatory about it.
It just was something that he probably I would have stayed away from because it's sort of no point.
He didn't say like you said, he didn't say anything wrong or he didn't speak ill of the, the pass away brother or the the young son named after him.
But he definitely brought it up in a context where like you're letting them down.
You want to tell me I'm letting people down the city of Philadelphia, my teammates, the organization, there's no shortage of people you can pick.
Oh, you don't have to, you don't have to pick any of my family members.
You definitely don't have to pick my brother who passed away at a young age, right?
So Marcus Hayes goes into the locker room because the 76ers, they were supposed to be facilitating the meeting and bead who didn't play in their loss to Memphis.
He was taking matters into his own hands.
He said this the next time you bring up my dead brother and my son again, you're gonna see what I'm gonna do to you and I'm gonna have to live with the consequences.
Joel and Bead was wrong to take it to a violent place.
Having said that in the words of Chris Rock.
But I understand I get why and, and be saying multiple times, I don't, I care not for the consequences.
Tells me he knows I'm crossing a line whether it was a punch or a shove that goes beyond.
But I don't have a problem in general with you wrote something I didn't like or I thought you went beyond the line.
Let's have a conversation about it where it gets physical is where I draw the line.
Vinny.
How many, how many games did Joel and B be suspended?
That's a great question.
The problem is put it like this.
I don't think that Adam Silver is going to take the side of the media, so to speak.
Even in the case of physical contact, maybe I'm wrong.
I would say five games max.
But all Philly is gonna say is, oh, he's healthy right now and he'll sit, he'll sit the five games before he's actually actually bring the doctor if they do that.
We bring the doctor board out.
