This feels like a very Jim Harbaugh thing to say, doesn't it?

The Los Angeles Chargers coach spoke about the incident in which members of the franchise were stuck for about two hours in a Dallas in hotel elevator, including QB Justin Herbert.

But it was the coach who wished he could have been in there with them.

Maybe he meant that he wished he could have been there to comfort everyone, or taken one for the team. But he really did say he wish he could have been there.

Here's the full quote from the coach via USA TODAY Sports:

We dodged a bullet. I mean, I usually think of dodging a bullet of, you know, dodging an injury in football. But, I mean, it was a shared experience. Eleven or 12 of our players were there for about two hours, and that's a shared experience. I mean, brought them closer together. I just missed it, you know, being on that elevator, and it's like, I wish I could have been there with those guys.”
