Jets’ Malachi Corley dropped the ball before scoring a TD and NFL fans had so many jokes

Malachi Corley learned a brutal lesson as a NFL rookie on Thursday night.

The New York Jets' rookie wide receiver played in just one game -- and had one catch -- before the team's Thursday night matchup against the Houston Texans. And during the second quarter, Corley looked to reverse his poor fortunes with what would have been a touchdown to put the Jets ahead and net his first score as a NFL player.

However, Corley did the unthinkable and pulled a DeSean Jackson, dropping the ball before the endzone in celebration, negating the touchdown completely and turning the ball over to the Texans.

That's so rough. You don't want to pile on a young player who made a bad mistake, but you have to be smarter than that, even amidst your excitement at possibly getting your first touchdown.

NFL fans were stunned at Corley's poor decision in what is possibly the most Jets' play of all time.
