Who is Jeff Lebby? Mississippi State hires Oklahoma offensive coordinator as Bulldogs coach

Mississippi State football opens its doors to the 36th head coach in the program's history, Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, the team announced Sunday.

He spent the past two seasons with the Sooners and was the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss for two years before that.

MSU fired Zach Arnett on Nov. 13, with two games left in the regular season. Arnett had been named coach in December 2022 after the sudden death of Mike Leach.

The Bulldogs, who named offensive analyst Greg Knox as interim coach for the last two games, finished the season 5-7 overall and 1-7 in the SEC.
