Jay Cutler came out of booth for $10 million that got him concussion and broken ribs
Jay Cutler’s disastrous season for the 4-6 Miami Dolphins hit yet another low during Sunday’s home loss against visiting Tampa Bay. After tossing three interceptions in the first half, Cutler, who entered Week 11 ranking 28th in yards passing and 31st in yards per attempt, was forced to miss the remainder of the game after being evaluated for a concussion.
The 34-year-old quarterback had retired after last season to become an NFL broadcaster, before inking a one-year contract worth $10 million guaranteed with the Dolphins, following Ryan Tannehill’s torn ACL. Injuries unfortunately, have been a theme for Cutler throughout the year. In October, he cracked two ribs against the New York Jets.
It’s also worth noting that Matt Moore, his backup, once again outplayed him when given the opportunity. The veteran amassed nearly 300 yards passing and one touchdown while leading the Dolphins back from a 20-7 deficit to tie it at 20 before losing 30-20.
