Ahead of the primetime game between the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce took the field for an unconventional challenge.

Standing alongside three United States Navy SEAL veterans during ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown," Kelce faced off in a high-energy push-up contest to see who could complete the most reps in one minute.

The push-up contest between Jason Kelce and the three United States Navy SEAL veterans occurred on Veterans Day (Monday, November 11).

Dressed in a bright yellow, oversized Gold’s Gym tank top after swapping out his suit, Kelce began the contest strong, with his ESPN colleagues cheering him on.

The Philadelphia Eagles legend managed to keep his pace for most of the 60 seconds, but fatigue began to show as time ticked down. Despite his impressive start, Kelce ultimately ran out of gas before the veterans, who displayed their endurance and discipline throughout the challenge.

By the end of the contest, the Navy SEAL veterans claimed victory, showcasing their strength and stamina. The top-performing veteran completed an astounding 93 push-ups, while the other two veterans finished with 83 and 77 reps, respectively.

Although Kelce couldn't keep up with the SEALs, he said, "It was an honor for this competition."

"I just wanna thank everyone who had served, especially these three men right next to me who are about to kill me in a push-up contest," the former NFL player said.

Jason Kelce’s recent push-up contest with Navy SEALs on ESPN’s "Monday Night Countdown" came just a day after Michael Strahan faced backlash for his posture during the national anthem at Fox’s Veterans Day broadcast from Naval Base San Diego.

During the tribute, Strahan stood with his hands clasped in front of him, while his colleagues placed their hands over their hearts—a gesture some viewers interpreted as disrespectful.

Strahan has long been a dedicated supporter of the military, a commitment deeply rooted in his upbringing within a military family, according to the NFL. At age nine, Strahan moved with his family to Germany, where his father served in the United States Army. He attended Mannheim American High School, a U.S. Department of Defense school for military dependents.

He has maintained his support for the armed forces, visiting wounded service members at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Strahan, whose father served for 23 years in the U.S. Army, has not yet responded publicly to the criticism.

NFL Players Honor Military On Veterans Day

To commemorate Veterans Day, NFL players and teams honored America’s servicemen and women.

Troy Vincent, Sr., former cornerback for the Miami Dolphins, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins, shared, "My grandfather, Jefferson Vincent, was in Company D, 50th Infantry Training Battalion of “Colored Troops” at Camp Croft, South Carolina in 1942, and served in WWII."

He added, "Join me in honoring him and all other brave men and women who fought for our country. #VeteransDay."

Meanwhile, Lane Johnson wrote, "Thank you to all those who serve and who have served our great country! #VeteransDay #SaluteToService."

The Baltimore Ravens shared a similar sentiment, writing, "Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve our country.#VeteransDay."

The Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, and Cincinnati Bengals, among others, also shared messages via social media.
