James Harden joins Rockets at Disney World, says 'family issues' held him back

The Houston Rockets have one half of their MVP backcourt back on the court.

James Harden officially joined the Rockets in practice on Thursday after a delayed entry to Disney World, arriving in Orlando on Tuesday and self-isolating for the required two days.

Harden’s return is obviously welcome news for Houston, which is still without Russell Westbrook after the star’s positive coronavirus test.

The only reason for his delay that Harden would give was “family issues.” It’s hard to imagine he’ll be elaborating on that one.

The Rockets are currently tied for fifth place in the Western Conference at 40-24. Currently tied in the standings with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team is assured of at least the seventh seed in the NBA playoffs with eight regular season games to go.
