Jalen Williams injury update: OKC Thunder forward exits NBA preseason game vs. Hawks

Thunder forward Jalen Williams will not return to Thursday night's preseason game against the Hawks after spraining his left ankle, the team said.

Williams suffered the injury in the second quarter of OKC's preseason finale at Paycom Center.

Earlier Thursday, the team announced that center Isaiah Hartenstein would be out for at least five weeks after suffering a small, non-displaced fracture in his left hand on Tuesday.

Williams, the No. 12 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, averaged a career-high 19.1 points per game last season.

The Thunder will face the Nuggets in the season opener next Thursday in Denver.
