Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant doesn’t let too many people in his inner circle, but his agent Mike Miller is one of those confidants.

While on the "OGs Show" podcast, Miller, one of the co-hosts, was asked by guest Shams Charania about Morant’s current mindset. Miller kept his response short.

“How soon they forget?” Miller repeated twice.

Morant has been one of the NBA’s rising stars over the past three seasons. The Grizzlies secured No. 2 seeds in back to back seasons while Morant won the NBA’s Most Improved Award in 2022.

Multiple suspensions in 2023 and a January shoulder injury led to Morant only making nine appearances this past season. In that time, young NBA stars like Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson catapulted to the next tier.

“I’m telling you guys right now, Ja Morant is coming for all the work this year,” Miller said.

Miller, who spent 17 years in the NBA, played seven seasons with the Grizzlies. He's now an agent with Lift Sports Management, where he started representing Morant in April after the Memphis star switched agencies.

The Grizzlies went 6-3 last season when Morant was healthy. While Morant was suspended at the start of the season, Memphis didn't get its sixth win until the 20th game of the season.

Morant's availability will go a long way in determining how far the Grizzlies go next season. It's also a chance for the Grizzlies point guard to recapture his All-Star status.

Before last season, Morant made the All-Star team in his previous two years. Count Miller on the list of people who believe Morant will pick up where he left off.

“That’s all I’ll say," Miller said. "He’s about to come for it.”
