Injury Report: Lakers’ LeBron James (ankle) out vs. Warriors on Thursday

Before play resumes following the All-Star break, the Golden State Warriors are sitting at the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference, trailing the Los Angeles Lakers at No. 9 by 1.5 games. The Warriors are currently tied with the Lakers in the loss column with 26 losses each.

The Warriors will have the chance to gain ground on the Lakers when they welcome them to San Francisco’s Chase Center on Thursday to open up the post-All-Star break stretch of the season.

When the Lakers come to the Bay Area, they will be missing All-Star forward LeBron James. James has been ruled out for Thursday’s game due to a left ankle injury.

In late January, James recorded a triple-double against the Warriors with 36 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists in the Lakers’ 145-144 double-overtime win at Chase Center.

Without James, the Lakers will lean on Rui Hachimura and Taurean Prince alongside Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves and former Warrior D’Angelo Russell.

The Warriors are expected to tip off against the Lakers on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT.
